The pictures on this page were taken in 2006 using 35mm slide film (these have been archived). This type of sweep net fishing, under licence to Alexander (Sandy) Patience (Avoch), was carried out at Kincurdie, Rosemarkie, Ross-shire, Scotland. No salmon netting took place between 2007-2011.
In 2012 (see sub-pages: Kincurdie Digital 2012 & Kincurdie Digital Specials 2012) Alexander (Sandy) Patience re-commenced fishing in this traditional way.
In 2018 Salmon Sweep Netting was recommenced but solely for the purpose of Scientific Tagging of 100 Salmon). These pictures and the above pictures can be viewed and downloaded at:
