However it is likely that some of these presentations will never see the light of day again. Therefore, as no slide presentations are now undertaken, some of the presentations below are presently unavailable.  A) TESTIMONY

REVELATION IN CREATION

This slide presentation may be preceded by a 10-minute word of personal testimony. The slide presentation looks at the creation (mainly birds) from the perspective of the presenter’s pre and post-conversion experience.

Sequel to the above. ‘What value is the creation evangelistically?’ ‘Where have we come from: evolution (chance) or creation (design)?’

GARDEN CENTRE TO VINEYARD MENTOR—THE BIRDS MY TEACHERS

This presentation gives a close-up of the presenter’s ambitions to developed Gladstone Garden Centre, Brora, before having his vocational aims changed. The presentation includes slides of the Garden Centre and its birds, plus places where the presenter has served as a minister of the Free Church of Scotland.

 B) CREATION

BIRDS IN PLACES AROUND SCOTLAND

The trip around Scotland takes us from the presenter’s home village of Brora to Inverness, the Grampians, Dundee, Edinburgh, Ayr, Bute, Islay, Mull, Coll, Oban, Loch Awe, Fort William, Wester Ross, Durness, John O’ Groats, Wick and back to Brora.

AROUND FASSFERN WITH FAUNA AND FLORA

This presentation contains slides taken on the ‘dog’s walk’ at Fassfern near Fort William. The presentation takes us on a circular walk through the different seasons of the year (8 years in the making) looking at a diversity of wild life though mainly birds.

BIRDS OF MOUNTAIN AND MOORLAND *

This presentation has its focus in the Highlands of Scotland. The talk is informative at a basic bird-watching level.

This slide presentation contrasts and compliments the presentation on Birds of Mountain and Moorland. The two presentations show the rich diversity of bird-life in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland. The talk is informative at a basic bird-watching level with special features of the creation being emphasised.

THE FREE CHURCHES OF SCOTLAND IN ARGYLL AND LOCHABER

All the Free Churches in Argyll & Lochaber can be reached by sea but only those on Islay, Mull and Coll have to be reached this way by necessity. After travelling by ferry to the island churches we travel by car to look at the mainland churches.

1) JOURNEYS / CREATION

TOBERMORY TO THE CARSAIG ARCHES

A trip from Tobermory on Mull travelling south through Craignure stopping at Torosay and Duart castles before walking to the impressive Carsaig Arches on the south coast of Mull. Birds and points of interest are photographed along the way.

TOBERMORY TO LUNGA

A trip from Tobermory on Mull travelling west to Ulva to board the Island Lass for a boat trip to Staffa and on to the island of Lunga to see the Puffins.

TOBERMORY TO LOCH BUIE

A trip travelling from Tobermory to the sea inlet of Loch Buie in the south of Mull. Birds and points of interest are photographed along the way.

TOBERMORY TO MACKINNON’S CAVE

A  trip from Tobermory to what is reckoned to be the deepest cave in the islands. Birds and views are looked at along the way.

TOBERMORY TO MACCULLOCH’S TREE

A trip from Tobermory in the north of Mull to the shores of Loch Scridain in the south of the island looking at birds and views along the way ending the trip at the fossil tree at the end of the Ardmeanach peninsula.

CHANONRY’S SEA SHORE TREASURES—SUMMER **

A walk along the seashore between Chanonry Point and Fortrose & Rosemarkie Golf Clubhouse; looking mainly at wild flowers, but with butterflies, birds, etc.

A walk along the seashore between Chanonry Point and Fortrose & Rosemarkie Golf Clubhouse; looking mainly at birds, but some flowers, etc.

THE EDGE OF THE WORLD’**

A trip round Shetland looking at birds and flowers with views of Hermaness, Noss Head, etc.

A return trip to the Abbey on Iona looking at places of interest on the way.

A  SNAPSHOT OF ISLAY

An overview of the Islay church situation with views of Islay and Jura.

Apart from the presentations marked ** (100 slides) these short presentations are 50 slides in length (approx. 30 minutes) but can be added to if required. They are ideal for fitting in with other agenda or having a cup of tea half way through two 50 slide presentations.
